Husband's chest pain

Hello I'm new on here , well I'm usually over in the other forum groups but it is about my husband . He has recently been experiencing chest pains and at his works first aid they sent him off to hospital because his blood pressure was up (he wasnt experiencing chest pains when they sent him) but as a precaution they sent him off to hospital. He was discharged and mentioned he will need a stress test done. He recently had a health check at the local surgery where everything was fine apart from his blood pressure which seems to go up during the day. The chest problem started recently when his activity at work increased. I'm pretty concerned about it all. He is 53. Will this stress test be the only test he will need or if not any ideas what will be done for him to determine the problem, as far as I know there isnt any heart problems in his family.
