Hydrocelectomy after surgery

Hello, I had surgery 3 weeks ago on my right testicle for an Hydrocele. the wound is healing perfectly, but my testicle is still quite swollen, is this normal? on the other side, my doctor allowed me to resume classes just now and when I get back home I feel a slight pain (more like a discomfort) in my testicle or groin. Has anyone felt this when you resumed your daily activities?

Yes it's normal. I had mine fixed back in April and I blew up so big I could barely walk, now I'm all good, the swelling will go down

Thank you for your reply. How long did the swelling take to start to go down for you? Because I had my surgery almost a month ago now and it stll almost the same. I mean...is it still swollen or it's swelling down still?

It took over a month, I still have some adema but it's now the size of a golf ball or so. Only draw back is I have some extra skin but no more giant bubble. April 2nd was my surgery and the swelling went into may with the seems that followed

It will be tender for a while. The stitches take 4 weeks to dissolve and that was one source of minor discomfort for me. My swelling was never larger than before the operation and at 8 weeks post op, is much smaller.  It can take a couple of months to see the full benefit I am told.
