Hydrodilatation or surgery??

Hi everyone. Well ive had fs since Dec and was in so much pain was blacking out and collapsing with the pain at its worst. Was having osteopath treatment for sore shoulder ss i thought id just strained it. Then she said i needed to see doc as it was fs. Had steroid injection end of Feb, then a larger one end of March, which was do painful i was crying all the way through. My daughter said he was twisting the needle and jabbing it to get it further and further in!!

Im.also having physio. Saw specialist few weeks ago who suggested hydrodilitation. Received letter yesterday saying they wont do hydro until 3 months after the last steroid!! Annoyed as doc doing steroid is one pushing me to have hydro. Now Reading other posts not sure whether to have operation or hydro! I have a lot less pain now and have lot of forward movement, just cannot reach behind or wash hair etc. I dont sleep at night without codeine and still wake up in pain every day. I am still working and have to deal with comments like 'oh its nothing my mom had fs and just got on withit' and people making remarks behind my back all the time. Some days im so depressed with all this that i just feel i cant carry on. The only saving grace is this forum where i know im not faking or going mad

Thanks to those already talked to. xx

Debbie you poor thing. You are not alone. I strongly recommend you let your gp know how this is affecting your mental well being. Depression and suicidal thoughts are common among sufferers. But it helps to remember you can't die of frozen shouldre. It will get better, whether with time, surgery or other treatments. But your life is put on hold while you have it. you need support of friends and family. Work should eb more sympathetic, o letting your gp sign you off with stress/depression and shoulder pain - covers all that you are going through.  Then you have a chance to catch up wth sleep during the day if possible.  Try to keep your strength an dmobility up as well as taking care of yourself. Sending you healing thoughts.

Thank you for your kind words. Im normally a very upbeat happy laughing person which is why my husband fell in love with me. Btw ive only been married 4 months. Also 6 weeks after being married my oh was involved in head on collision..which has shaken us both. The other driver was on wrong side of road and drove straight into my husbands truck. Physically hes ok, but mentally its taken longer. So weve had a lot going on and now my fs which tires me out so much, that i cant do as much as i used to, which upsets me. Thank you though for sending good wishes. I also send back to you. X

just spend time with each other and love each other. you have the rest of your lives together to plant a garden, clean the house, travel, get fit again - just concentrate on pain management, your mental health and being there for each other xxx

Hello Debbie , I know exactly how you feel with regards to people not understanding how bad FS is , I changed the way I worked for the last two months (anything that involved having to stretch my arm and slowed down, instead of trying to rush , ) I think my employer thinks he's getting the job done , he doesn't need any support. I did and since a traffic accident two weeks ago , I've been signed off work, I know even with the way I was working l cant do it anymore, god knows how this is going to go down . My quality of life is depressing affected in such a relatively short time span . Your not going mad ...

I know but i really love my job and need to work it keeps me occupied. im busy this week but have next week off, but then after that i will be playing catch up. But if i cant manage i will tell them. Mind you today a colleague said 'oh youve had so much time off work lately' which doesnt make me feel good at all. x. Hope you get well soon, after the road accident, and the fs calms down a bit. Its such an annoying thing
