Hydromol cream vs Ointment

For those of you who use the Hydromol product for moisturing, do you use the ointment or the cream? Which is better for this skin condition. I know using ointment there seems to be thick feeling...

    Hello

I am new to the group and having trouble figuring out how to start a new discussion. I have no experience with hydromal moisturizers but I have been using Perrins Complete. Too soon to give an opinion but would love to hear how you feel about it(aside from the horrible odor lol) and also experience with emuaid.  I have no open lesions except for my biopsy spot.  I have some fusion of the labia minora.  I have been using borax to treat also. I am post menopausal.  Doctor wants to put me on topical estrogen and clobetasol.

Hi Susan, I don't have any experience with either of these products. I am in the US and it is difficult to get the Hydromol. Am worried to do the Borax but have the solution mixed up. Unfortunately I am on the Estrace and Clob program, its not really working to well! In addition I supposedly have the LP down there also which is a real problem. I have lost a lot of the activities I love to include biking and walking so I am still hopefull something will work and have to be patient for the moment. This has been going on since the end of March when I had a flare. Its great you have no open lesions. Seems everyone has there own thing going on with this disease. I wish you luck, let us know how your treatment is going..

I prefer the ointment, because it’s more of a barrier than the cream. You only need a little but you can also mix with a little water if you find it to thick
