Hydromol has changed my life.

My licen schlrosis has been out of control for a few years.  Extremely bad.  Unfortunately I am one of the very few people that gets a cancer diagnosis.  Don’t worry.  After two operations all is well. (It is a reminder for us that have to live with this condition not to miss appointments... which I did)

Anyway, I thought NOTHING would work.  I had used every steroid under the sun.

Then Hydromol came into my life!!! I use it all the time.  After every loo trip, before bed, when I wake up, every time I itch.  All my open sores have healed, all my pain is GONE, it itches now and again, but Hydromol stops it. I don’t even use steroids anymore.  Nothing.  Just hydromol.  If you haven’t tried this yet, please give it a go and let me know if it’s not just me!!!

Sorry to hear about the C diagnosis.

Pleased to hear all is well now. Do you use the Hydromol ointment or cream?

    What surgery did you have?

I had ignored a very sore spot I had for over a year. (I’ve had LS all my life and I got a bit fed up with going to the docs... so I missed my yearly check up.  Very bad decision.  I felt so much regret about that when I got the C diagnosis)

A very sore tumour started to grow.  Within days of the lump appearing I went to my GP. I had surgery to remove it less than 4 weeks later, but by then it had grown ALOT.  Very scary.  Thankfully it hadn’t spread.  So all is well.

I also had a few lymph nodes taken out to test for cancer... but thankfully all clear.

My second op was because the margins weren’t big enough.  They went super close to my clit.  Thankfully they left it there... i lost all feeling for a couple of months, but fully functino now! 🤗🤗

Within a few days my symptoms had improved.  Before I was waking up 3-4 times a night and would put VERY hot shower on my vulva which hurt like hell, but stopped the itching for a couple of hours (do not try this... bad idea) With the hydro mil I would wake up and put it on, and within minutes my crazy itching would stop.  I haven’t had a hot shower since getting hydromol. I saw my specialist today.  She couldn’t believe the transformation!

Ive just found this forum and others similar. I havent been diagnosed yet but cannot wait until the gynae consultant Im seeing (another 8 weeks) with the severe pain Im in. its been 8 weeks with the worst pain but I havent slept properly for a year - I had no idea I even had a problem I thought I had an irritated urethra. Over the last 8 weeks they tested for all usual stuff- I can only assume it's this lichen thing. i was given hydromol but no explanation of how to use it. I have applied it as a cream just now and will pray that if I use it like you constantly that I will find some relief.

Yes I use hydromol and castor oil alternatively and it did really help get some red rawness back to pink.

Hi, there. I just read that Hudromol has Parabens. Isn't that harmful, since some shampoos are Paraben free?

Did not know that, I will have a look. I have started Lipesten now and am so so with it, can't beat the castor oil.
