Hymenal Remnants? Or Herpes?

As you can see from the pictures included I have weird swelling around the opening. It's weird because the swelling fluctuates and when the swelling is increasing it's a little sore and itchy. I went to my OBGYN and she told me it was hymenal remnants from when my hymen broke and that it was nothing to worry about, but I'm not so sure. I'm wondering if it's herpes or something else like that. What do you guys think? Should i get a second opinion or leave it alone?
