Has anyone else had severe joint pain related to hyperthyroid.?  I can't close my hands.  I am still hyper but think that joint may be something else.  I hope it is just the hyperthyroid

    Hi,

I have an over active thyroid caused by Graves' disease and also have a goitre.

I have been on carbimazole for just under a year since being diagnosed.

I had been on a high dose of carbimazole, but recently had medication dropped down by a 3rd as my levels had come down quite significantly.

However, around about the same time as my levels have come down, I have been experiencing a lot of pain and discomfort in my hips, knees, wrists and feet.

Does anyone know if this is due to my thyroid and what I can do to help this?

    Many thanks in advance.
