Hyperthyroidism and graves disease and depression

Hi,
I am new to this but I just got diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and graves disease about a month and half ago and I just can't shake the tremors and the depression. I'm on methimazole twice a day and atenolol for my chest pain. I have been feeling like I have pins and needles and itching all the time too. I don't know what to do my husband said I should go talk to someone about my feelings.

What dose of Methimazole are you on? What are your thyroid lab values? You are entitled to get a copy of any lab tests that are done on you. Ir's a good idea to keep your own file of lab tests so you can see your progress. I had a workplace stress which I feel contributed to my Graves. Did you have anything like a stressful event before you were diagnosed? While Methimazole immediately normalized my Free T3 and T4, my TSH result remained at less than 0.001 for two years until I read a research paper about the benefit of hyperthyroid patients using L-carnitine, an amino acid supplement. I also learned that vitamin D is extremely important for good thyroid functioning. I got tested for my carnitine levels, my vitamin D levels and my Magnesium levels and was deficient in all of them so added these supplements to my meds. Took everything at the same time. My TSH finally started to rise and I was able to lower my dose of Methimazole. Please post your lab values so we can better comment.
