Hypnic jerks does this improve?

hi - ive been on escitalopram for 10 weeks and i have just increased to 12mgs from 10mgs, with a view to going up to 15mgs, ive also been taking mitrazipine for sleep and nausea at 15mg.

in the last week i feel like it may be starting to work but im now experiencing hypnic jerks when i try to fall asleep along with some muscle jerks during the day. im not sure what to do, im still managing to get a good nights sleep eventually and i dont want the nausea to return so reluctant to come off the mitrazipine, though i may take it every other night, did anyone else experience this - did it go once the meds had settled down?

In my experience, yes they did improve. Guess it is just the brain recalibrating itself somehow. It is very annoying and I sympathise. But I also get random muscle jerks when I am awake that seem to have stayed, but they are very few and far between. This all started when I tapered off Cymbalta.

I was on escitalopram, but had to switch back to citalopram as I had stomach issues on it. It was working to an extent, and dare I say had I given it a little longer than 4 months I would have settled on it, but all the physical symptoms were causing my anxiety to go out of control...
