Hypoparathyroid Symptoms

Anyone have Hypoparathyroidism? I have symptoms of it and want to hear from people that actually have it and what to tell my doctor when I see her. Muscle spasms and 'stiffening" and tingling. Racing heart. Blurred vision. Intermittent headaches. Very dry skin and mouth. I have had Vitamin D deficiency in the past but have not had a test lately.

Hi annie, I had abdominal pain, urine frequency, vomiting, lethargy, shortness of breath, muscle aches, knee pain, inability to concentrate. I'm 7 weeks post surgery and the only thing I still have is knee pain.
High calcium and parathyroid hormone are easy to detect in a blood test and they only need to be slightly raised for you to have a major problem, you also need an ultrasound scan of your neck if your blood markers are raised.
Then you have a long wait for an endocrinologist, then another wait for an ENT surgeon if you are in the UK. All this takes ages, I wish you well on your journey....its taken me 7 months to get fixed and that's fast because I went private for initial endocrinology appointment and the scan.

I had never heard of Hypoparathyroidism, but after being of work for 8months after surgery it’s been a real eye opener!
Please feel free to ask any questions
