Hysterectomy 10 weeks ago back to work soon!!

Hi all its been a long road, but over the last two weeks i thought I had finally recovered; enough to return to work. However, after a very busy weekend today I had a very heavy ache around my pelvis and lower abdomen. I have also found my inflammatory arthritis has increased since surgery?. Has anyone else had this?. I did an aqua class on Friday, trying to shift some weight, so this may also have an impact of the extra pain. Also any advice on exercise post surgery, I have been walking but get a sharp nerve pain after walking for 20 min plus, sorry for all the moans

I am just at 6 weeks today and have been back to work already for 2 weeks with no pain.  Did you have a vaginal surgery?  Maybe you are not as healed as you thought you might be.

I was told no swimming for 8 weeks  so I can not help you with that but maybe you just did a little too much and your body was not ready for it.

Hi i went back to work week 10 and at end 1st week was in lot pain on one side went back to gp she said it was internal scar tissue and even now 20 weeks if i lift something too heavy or overdo it the pain returns.

My joints pain from arthritis has also increased.

For me the worse is vaginal dryness its like having a permanent uti i cant have hrt but have agreed to a very low dose oestregen cream it does put me at higher risk for breast cancer tho as couldn't stand the discomfort any longer. X

Hi thanks for your  reply, I have been using a patch, since my operation, but it can cause joint pain, so have today changed to cream. I also have low dose, but like you the constant feeling of a UTI is too much. Hope it helps you, will let you know how I go. I am seeing my rheumatologist tomorrow so will be interested to see what he has to say x
