Hello Julie,I wonder if this is due to changing hormone levels. Your doctor may decide to give you an oestrogen cream to insert with an applicator. Have you started HRT ? I think this could be easily sorted if you go and see your GP for a chat. Hope you are feeling more comfortable soon.

Hi BessĀ thanks for thatĀ ive never heard of that what does that do.I went to the doctors this morning and i had to do a urine sample and when he did a dip stick he said that there was a slight infection so hes given me antibiotics for cycitus. And told me to go back if they dont work.

Hi Julie, I'm not sure if the burning sensation you have is in the vagina or the bladder ? If you have this feeling in the bladder and you have a urine infection, the antibiotics should sort this out but if the feeling is in the vagina, this can be caused by falling hormone levels after a hysterectomy and the oestrogen/hormone cream can help the burning and pain which can be felt in the vagina. You will soon know if this is simply cystitis as this should improve quickly with antibiotics. All the best, let me know how you get on.
