Hysteroscopy procedure

I was wondering if anyone has undergone a hysteroscopy procedure to remove endometrial polyps and if they have experienced any side effects?

Would anyone also know, can the procedure cause any implications when trying to conceive after?

They have suggested local anaesthetic due to low risk of any damage during the procedure. Is this true?

Any information would be much appreciated 👍

no need to worry, your doctor will use local anaesthesia to complete procedure quickly and you will be able to go home same day (about 25-40 minutes procedure), however if you feel anxiety you can request general anaesthesia, but they have more complication risk. For side effects, you may experience a little bleeding and cramping, just like your periods, as the polyps are removed and it is difficult to clear all internal injuries right away, but that will go away and take medicines as given. For conceiving, removing polyps usually help conceive better, but that depends on your age, your history, other secondary factors, and skills of your doctor (make sure he skilled and trusted, as any damage to uterus lining have impacts, have credibility ensured of doctor) And remember this is all for a general body, but every body is different, hope your procedure go well.
