Hyteroscope and Mirena coil

I had post menoupase bleeding after 18 months of no period. A scan showed a thickening of the womb lining. I had hysteroscope and I'm waiting on biopsy results. I also had a Mirena coil fitted at the same time. That was 2 weeks ago and I've been bleeding ever since. Last week it was quite light, and seemed to stop, but started again a couple of days later, this week its been quite heavy. I've not been sexually active at all. Apparently it can stop and start for 7-10 days. I can't get an appointment with my GP until next week. Has anyone else experienced this?
