I always had a tight foreskin, what should I do?

Hi! I am 18 years old and I had a tight foreskin forever, I was never able to pull it down, which I don't think is normal. I can pull it down but very little, only to see the tip of the penis head, but I uncover the entire head, how it would be normal. What should I do?

    This is more common than you think. All males are born with this issue and it is usually by the age of 3 the foreskin is able to be retracted. But in some cases it possible for this to never happen have you thought about circumcision?

      i thought about it, yea, but i'd like to try something else first, but i don't know what honestly. i thought about circumcision as a last choice if nothing works out

      There typically isnt much you can try as it is just a case that your foreskin is too tight. I do think there is an option to make a small cut to allow for more movement. Are you able to pull it back when masturbating or cleaning yourself?

      nope, it is pretty much impossible for me to pull it down, but i have a little hole that allows me to put some water for washing and to ejaculate

      I would speak to a doctor about your options as it will need addressing. I cant imagine you are able to clean it all correctly due to this which may also be causing the issue

    Hi Jake,

    Chances are that it's normal underneath the foreskin.

    Is it tight when you are soft as well as hard?

    There is stretching exercises that can help most guys in this situation, but they do take months to get results. If you do see a doctor, then you may get offered steroid cream to help thin & stretch the foreskin.

    Full circumcision should be the last method on your list as there are other methods to retain a functional foreskin.

      yep, it is tight both ways, when it is hard and when it is soft. are there safe creams that could help with the process that i could get without going to a doctor?

      I'm not sure if the names of the creams, but they are steroid based, so are prescription only in regulated counties.

      Can you feel movement between the foreskin and the gland underneath?

      You mention that you can get water inside for cleaning, does it balloon up at that point?
