I am so sorry for your situation - just when you think your in a bad way, someone else comes along and is worse off than yourself.....Give your meds a chance to work, and if after all this time they haven't made any progress, I'd have the dr stop the methotrexate and start you on something else - only you know how much your body can take.  Get plenty of rest, eat healthy foods - not processed or junk foods & exercise to your ability - and ask God to give you the strength to get you through this.  This is what I've done for myself only I refuse to do methotrexate  -  I am doing prednisone, ibuprofen & pain pills, and that is more than enough poison to put in a persons body....I pray you get well~

Have you contacted your rheumy nurse about the methotrexate making you feel sick? Sometimes they suggest splitting dose/ trying different time of day/ different ways to take the folic acid to help with feeling sick. With regard to RA part if what you are suffering methx is the first option.  But with every thing else you have you must feel rotten and I'm sorry it s so tough for you.

Hallo Candice.  Google 'The Spoons Theory, by Christine Miseriando' - she has Lupus, too.  I used this theory to get my life organized after 3 years of PMR.  I gave myself 20 'theoretical' spoons and used them as often as necessary during the day, but when I had run out of 'spoons ' that was it - nothing more that day.

If you don't already know about this theory, please download it as it is very good for explaining what you are going thru to your family and friends.

Greetings, and good luck fr Constance
