I'm 36 years old diagnosed with multiple fibroids. Never undergo any kind of operation before and am so scared.
Please I wouldn't mind advise of what to expect before and after the procedure from anyone that has done this.

You will likely need to have some additional blood work done prior to the procedure. After the procedure the discomfort is totally manageable with medication. and you will probably just want to sleep. My recovery was about 4 weeks to be up and around and 6 weeks to start feeling like myself again. Be careful not to try to rush it. Make sure to take it easy and you should be fine. Best of luck!

Hello, I was in the hospital for 3 days and had 21 fibroids removed. The moment I realized the pain was the first time I had to get up to use the bathroom. It was a struggle, lot's of tears but eventually I made it past that. Once I had the pain meds flowing, I was good. While in the hospital they are going to recommend walking alot or at least my doc did. It was hard but worth it. I've always been told that you've got to get your body moving in order to have a quick recovery. My stitches dessolved on their own and I just send a picture of my incision to my doc so I didn't have to go back for a follow up. My first bowel movement came a week later and I felt very nausea because I wasn't sure what was going on. I was on Norco and Ibuprofen 600mg. I weened off Norco quick and just dealt with the pain because it made me sick. My appetite was low for a few weeks and then came back. One thing I needed was to wear underwear that did not sit on my incision. I improvised and just turned some backwards until I stocked up lol. Biggest advice people told me was to listen to my body and don't overdo it. Best of luck!
