Hi all

I started on 25 mg in December.  Slowly increasing to 150 mg . I am on week 5 . I feel like crap !!  I am soooo shakey . My heart is racing and my blood pressure is running high ( for me ) . I am starting tonight going down to 137.5 .. I dread the withdrawals!!!   I am going back to my regular dr tomorrow. I have been using Amwell . A online pysicatrist and she wants me to keep increasing it to 200 !  I weight 110 pounds !  I told her I thought it was just to much !!   I am done with her !   I have not felt good for months and I am sick of it !!    Wish me luck ..

    Hi Debbie,

So sorry to hear you are having such a hard time. For sure go to your family doctor. He will guild you in the right direction, if he doesn't then go to another until you get the right answer. Please let me know how it goes. Good luck,be strong.

Good luck Debbie. I wish you well. Psychiatrists will keep upping the dose ad infinitum unless you take control. That is my experience. They don't listen. I weigh 47kg (106.3 lbs) and my psychiatrist had me up to 600mg/day of sertraline (recommended adult dose for major depression is 100mg/day). I kept telling her it wasn't working. She ignored me. I've titrated down to zero and have been antidepressant free for 4 years. The depression HAS NOT returned.

I wish you well. See a psychologist instead if you need someone. They don't drug you and they have an endpoint. Psychiatrists don't. They put you on drugs and then you're obliged to keep going back. Not good and not healthy.

I have been off Sertraline for 13 days after coming down from 150mg. I am suffering horrendous withdrawal symptoms. I would not increase the dose to 200. In fact I would try and get off the drug. I found the side effects awful and the withdrawal is worse.

    Hi Debbie

I started in January going from 150 to 125. I got down to 100 at the end of the month, then in February I got down to 75. In March I was down to 25mg. The withdrawal seemed to be getting worse. I came off it 13 days ago. I was going to try a liquid Prozac but I had one dose and flipped. I was just so scared of side effects.

I think my withdrawal has probably been too fast as it is horrendous. My head feels absolutely terrible.

I wonder if I have some other condition like dementia because I just don’t feel right. Let me know how you get on? 👍

You certainly took it slow !!   Gosh .. this is so horrible.  Have you ever looked into CBD OIL ?   I have read so many good things about it . It has no side effects .  My plan is to get off this stuff and try the CBD OIL . Let’s keep in touch as we go through this horrible journey together!!!!

Hello Debbie and Lynn. I haven't heard of CBD Oil before. Is it taken like fish oil? It would be great to find something that works and has no side efects. Thanks.

    Hi Debbie

CBD oil - I will look into it.

Today is a really bad day. My head feels totally pressured and waterlogged.

So many people suffer from AD withdrawal. I am day 14 off meds. I am trying to stay positive but the symptoms are awful.

I will never take these meds again. Anxiety is a terrible condition but ADs have so many side effects that there must be a better way. Let me know how things go with your tapering.🙏
