I am experiencing a first herpes outbreak, easy to determine source?

I have a few questions as I experience this for the first time About Sunday around 10pm I developed a fever with aches and chills, I was annoyed I was getting sick. I noticed my first sore Wednesday at about 6am after 24 hrs of painful urination. More sores are popping up making it more painful - will it just continue to escalate?

I’ve slept with two guys in the last few months. One is a longtime romantic interest (have slept with on and off for a year but he recently moved to a different state we decided to not be exclusive) that I slept with 9 days before the fever hit and one guy (been on a 4 dates with) that I slept with 48hrs before the fever hit. Clearly I need to address both, but I’m curious as to what’s the typical time it takes to see symptoms? Any opinions on who I could have contracted this from?

I’m having such a hard time with this. Finding it difficult to see a point to anything anymore.

You really cant figure it out Ill tell you just focus on the problem you have and better see a doctor. Figuring out doesnt help at all. You have it now and move on. I too, we have the same problem but I just said to myself figuring out of who contacted it to me doesnt help at all.  Whatever happens just keep moving forward. Godbless!!

Thank you so much for your response. I’m amazed at how kind everyone is in this situation, I’m still living and have a lot going on. So trying to remember I’m lucky in life.

Hey @al27611 check out my discussion I posted. I also am in basically the exact same situation.. From all of the stories that I have read online from people that have, say, a one night stand, they seem to experience the symptoms/outbreak almost immediately within a couple days. That's why I am going to assume for myself which is almost your exact story, that it is my most reset partner who I contracted this from. Both of my partners showed no symptoms. I learned that my most recent partner had been with someone for 5montha that is very likely to be hsv2+. I but did not tell him...very likely that he had contacted it and had passes it to me asymptomatically.

These facts combined with facts and facts exposure stories I have read, have lead me to strongly believe that my most recent partner was my infector.

Check out my discussion as it has been a lot more informative might relate to your story.

And YES it can get much worse... My wifey symptoms timeline is litterally the exact same as yours. I was in absolute denial, everything escaped exponentially but I was an idiot and did not go to the emergency till Sunday and was swab tested and given an antiviral. Monday and Tuesday was horrendous while waiting for my medicine to work. Wednesday things started to mellow out. Now trying to terrify you but please do yourself a favor and get an antiviral ASAP. Primary outbreak is supposed to be the worst...so that's a positive. I've been experiencing a somewhat consistent outbreak or have have a second one since my first cleared up. I had all regular prodrome symptoms. But only experienced one blister. (my primary OB was 99% internal)

Water to dilute urine, epsom baths, ice packs for pain/itch, ibeproferen, antihistamine pills for itchiness, coconut oil/Vaseline in sores. Super angle yourself when you pee..or if it get so bad, just pee in the tub (ew, right?) Just a few pointers that I learned a month ago. Best wishes and take care of yourself ??

Thank you for your really kind and informative response. I’ve definitely calmed down a lot. Called my best friend who has it and it was good to hear life for her is entirely normal. She said very little does she think about it. So hopefully we experience similar situations ♥️♥️♥️
