I am having keyhole surgery on my knee

Tomorrow I am having keyhole surgery on my knee, flushing out and removing damaged tissue. I am a little worried about this procedure and I am hoping I will only be in hospital for 1 day. Has anyone had experience of this. Thanks, Linda

My husband had keyhole surgery in 2006 and was in and out the same day. He had local anaesthetic so could watch the whole procedure on the screen, which he said was fascinating. I'm sure you'll be fine. Good luck!

I had it some years ago under a general anaesthetic as a daycase and it was fine. I was given painkillers, crutches and instructions as to what to do afterwards plus some exercises that, if I remember correctly, were to start after the first 24 hours . The crutches were more to use as a warning to others that they needed to take care around me when I was outside. I think I took one only out with me after the first few days and dropped that after a couple of weeks.

Yes only in for day , very sore after for me , but not successful either , many people it is and may put off knee replacement for a few years , I had done too much damage to my meniscus running so didnt work . Dont worry
