Monique I was so sad when I read what you are experiencing.
I have had LS for 16 years and during that time experienced lots of change in my vagina s architecture. Tho never had blackening, but other woman on here have, and have managed to correct it with right treatment.
May I ask have you been diagnosed with LS from biopsy ?
Are you using any creams or potions, if so what ??
Sweetheart, my advice to you is go to the nearest clinic for sexual diseases/conditions tomorrow.
Don’t worry another day !!
Most clinics are attached to a hospital and are generally manned by all specialists in various gynaecological conditions.
Please remember these clinics are not only there for women with sexually transmitted infections.
They will listen, examine, and review exactly what you can do to make yourself comfortable.
It is the fastest route to get answers and stop your stress
Sending warmest cosy hug 🤗🙏🏻 X

I'm in Canada, so not sure if they have that in the US. I would google Vulva Clinic and your area. Also check with the hospitals to see if they have a Women's Health Centre or Clinic. Maybe someone who lives in the US can reply better.

You need to get to a Gyn doctor right away. That does not sound like LS. It's probably something minor like an infection, so you need to get it treated! You could try soaking in 1 cup of baking soda in moderately warm water. Maybe try Emuaid First Aid cream. But before you see doctor make 100% sure nothing is on it that day. Take care and let me know what you find out!!

Yes I have that happening to me. It seems to happen when I use a rinse with baking soda and apply Emu Oil right away after. Not sure if it's reaction between the baking soda and oil, so had to stop. It happened before too when I applied oil after taking a bath with borax. When I went to the Vulva Clinic and asked the doctor about it, she said it was pigmentation but it wasn't really apparent then. My vulva is naturally dark, but this made it really black. I stopped using everything except the Clob, Premarin, and Emu Oil and that seems to work now and have no reaction. It depends what you're using. What are you using?

Everyone is different. There are so many products out there that people are using. It's really up to someone to read the comments and learn about them and try them to see what suits them. All I can do is reply in this wonderful site to try and help someone who is in need of help as I was and many great people replied to help me. Sorry the Emu oil didn't suit you. You can try Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Tea Tree Oil with Olive Oil, Hemp Oil, etc. A doctor of a friend I met who has LS recommended Crisco. There are so many. I want to try Hemp Oil as it is anti-inflammatory and what we have is an inflammatory disease.

Premarin comes from pregnant mares urine. The plant based estrogen is called Estrace. It's applied topically in the vjay.

Hi Monique
Clobetasol is widely used for LS. But make sure you only use very little. They recommend applying a pea size amount gently rubbed in for 90 seconds or to a slow counting to 10. A warm bath for 20 minutes before softens the tissue and this helps to absorb the Clobetasol. This disease lives in the deep layers of skin. I would try to go back to the Clob if that is not the way you were applying it. If you were applying it this way and it's not working, I would advise to go back to your doctor.
Premarin is an estrogen hormone compound that I use because of dryness. I am 76 years old and post menopausal, so this replaces what my body no longer produces. I don't think it applies in your case because of your age.
Good luck, take heart, and stay with us, and try not to stress. Let us know how you're doing.
Micheline
