I am not alone...

Sat here at 1am, unable to sleep (yet again) trying to Google for possible answers and finding this forum, reading some of the posts...I am not alone!!

What started as a mild inconvenience is depressing the life of out me atm after 10 years of symptoms.

Full blown facial pressure & pain, blocked ears, constant headaches, fatigue, dizziness/nausea, the feeling of being unable to clear mucus from the back of the throat / nose (either by blowing my nose or by that disgusting snarl type thing to try and dislodge stuff), shortness of breath (especially when talking), anxiety / panic attacks, inability to concentrate and then there's the insomnia!

Honestly feels like I have a fur ball at times, other times it feels like solid pulsating balls of mass in my cheeks...I've had nasal sprays, several types of antibiotics, sinus washes, painkillers...the works.

Only really the painkillers (Cocodamol 30/500) seemed to actually do anything and even they weren't great and as soon as stopped taking them, it was back to all the usual symptoms.

I had a CT in 2014 - diagnosed with small polyps by one Doctor however later told that was incorrect and all was fine. All is not fine.

Most recently I've had a tooth abscess in my gum in my top jaw line. So far had 3 rounds of root canal - Dentist said tooth nerves are now dead but infection still drained out even on the 3rd go (as well as excruciating pain) - it wasnt the tooth nerves causing pain but my gum & face is swollen and painful to touch so likely from the sinuses according to them.

I asked for another referral March 2021, eventually saw an ENT specialist December 2021 (good old NHS), who diagnosed a severely deviated septum, which as a result, is causing a build up of mucus and causing recurring infections. Also sent me for another CT, which I'm hoping will actually show something this time.

I'll try and update the thread for those in the same boat, no doubt there will be more sleepless nights ahead.
