Do you have polymyalgia rheumatica? That is what this forum is about and fentanyl doesn't work for the pain associated with it - which means almost no-one here will have any knowledge about using it and problems.

This is not where you want to talk about this and there is a chronic pain group on this website that you can post your questions on.

Other than PMR I also suffer from a couple of other conditions that causes chronic pain. I take prescription opiates for my lower back pain, I take morphine and oxycodone. I believe the twitching might be coming from your pain rather than the fentanyl patch. But this is something you should talk with the doctor who prescribes the fentanyl patch. Have you looked up the side effects for this medication? It's easily done, just Google fentanyl patch and you'll find all kinds of information.

My next few statements has nothing to do with thinking that you're an addict so please don't take it that way. But as a chronic pain patient I know how desperate a person can get if your doctor lowers your dosage. So please consider this a public service announcement... Never take Fentanyl patches that you get off the street. Many Fentanyl patches purchased through the black market contain too much fentanyl or heroin or other drugs. So a lot of people have died from using Fentanyl patches they have gotten on the black market. These Fentanyl patches I'm referring to (if you live in the US) are coming from Mexico and China where they're manufacturing them by the tens of thousands.

Thank you for your comment. I have know idea how to go about getting black market meds. I just know that since my pain management Dr upped my does to 50 mg my poor body started twitching.

I do believe I'm on the wrong website though and apologize for inconvenience. I'm going to remove myself from this site.

      God bless all of you
