courage jennifer. Im 6 weeks ost op and it is hard to descibe the defference when you dont have a constant pain

i have a high pain threshold but even still there is a remarkable difference! I was walking with 1 crutch on day 2 and no crutchs day 3

I started easy into rehab and used almost no pain meds maybe for the first 4 days I used 1 each night to assure a good sleep..

So although some have more pain and take a little longer to recover dont let it bog you down! Take heart and know that mostly people do really well

    Cindy

Isn't it wonderful, to be ridof that awful pain, forever !!!

Best wishes with your recovery, take it slowly.  You are unique, and so is your recovery, so don't try to compare your recovery to others.

Wow!! That is amazing and definitely gives hope to those of us yet to get our new hip(s).  Did you have anterior or posterior approach?

    Enjoy!!

I had posterior approach due to a dysplastic hip. Takes a little longer to heal but, oh well. It's already so worth it!

Good luck Fern - it sounds as if there will be a full crop of you getting new hips in June. I hope they don't run out!  :-))

Good luck and looking forward to hearing from you then - with no bone-on-bone pain!!!!!!
