I am suffering from panic attack. Please help me on this.

I was rushed to the ER 2 months ago due to symptoms of heart attack. It was really fearsome because we have a family history of heart attacks. I was 115 kilos and 21 years of age back then and feeling numb and can't breath properly. My doctor done ECG and 2D Echo because we suspected heart attack. But then he found out that my BP is normal, heart rate is normal and my ECG and 2D echo revealed that my heart accually is well performing. He assured me that I am not going to have a heart attack but I am suffering from panic attack. I went on a diet and exercise for the past 2 months and still feel the heart attack symptoms. I lost 15 Kilos so I should be better than 2 months ago but now I got chest pains and sudden strong pumping of heart feeling like I would throw up. I have done my ECG a month ago again and still normal but I still fear like I would have a heart attack now. What might this chest pain be? Please help.

Dear Panic, you are NOT having a heart attack. When I took myself to urgent care...a basket case, I thought I was having a heart attack, even though I had a tes,t and was congratulated on my great heart TWO DAYS BEFORE. Then, I thought it was a stroke, and on, and on, and on. All only thoughts! The thoughts all of here at this forum with anxiety problems have had, and sometimes still have.

Very, very common and usual with anxiety disorder!!!!!!!!  All the things that you list above are the usual stuff that happens with anxiety. I would suggest what I did myself....get yourself to a doctor who will prescribe anti anxiety meds for you, so you can think clearly enough to learn the many things you can do for yourself, and those things you can lesrn right here.

Welcome to the site. Looking forward to hearing back from you,

Anxiety can cause chest pains....practice taking a deep breath (so your stomach expands) and let it out.....when you are feeling super stressed.
