i am worries about a TTS surgery

Hello i am a 16 year old girl and i was just diagnosed with tarsal tunnel syndrome and i am getting surgery for it. I was wondering if anyone else has done this and their experiences on the subject, especially after the surgery.. Like how big was the scar? And was there more pain afterwards? Thank you very much it would mean a lot!

    Could you do some research into Serrapeptase (supplement) before going under the knife? I have avoided surgery 2x from taking that and using red light LED therapy that I bought on Amazon for $40. I tore a rotator cuff and my MCL and both were fixed with serrapeptase and red light therapy.  It totally worked for me. Good luck!

      Know that what you have is essentially carpal tunnel of the foot. If you go on YouTube, you will see a lot of Dr. show how you can cure CTS so there is no reason you can't cure TTS. I like to listen to Dr. Bergman's videos or Dr Berg. Both have channels on YouTube. Dr's make $ with surgery but I can tell you first hand, do everything you can to avoid it. I forgot to mention my thumb...I had fallen and put my hand behind me to brace the fall. I hyperextended it and tore a tendon. Dr. wanted to do surgery and claimed I would never regain use of my thumb. At one point I couldn't even close it around a glass or touch my thumb to my palm. Now, it is perfect (about 4 months of me working on it) Serrapeptase, RED LED light therapy, stretching. Good Luck to you!

    Hi,  I just had that surgery in feb.  my scar is about 3” long under my ankle bone to the arch of my foot.  I was in an air boot for 7 weeks and used a knee scooter at school ( I’m a teacher).  The incision healed pretty quickly but I am still experiencing nerve pain   And lots of numbness.    I need to have surgery on the other foot as well but am waiting for several months as I want be sure it is worth the surgery.  I’ve been told nerve damage can take a year to recover.  Best advise I can give you is to baby your foot after surgery.  Lots of ice and keep it above your heart for the first 4-5 days.  Good luck!
