well hello jessi, an operation is the last resort when nothing else is possible and if the operation is for your good then no need to worry dear, its all going to b fine, also stress will only help in complicating the situation. So if i may suggest stay calm, pray to GOD ALMIGHTY and know that it is for the best and not for the worse.

    Peace

    Hi Jessi,

I am now in my 5th week following the op. I can understand your anxiety, but to be honest even though my op turned out much longer than expected, the worst I experienced was a tiny prick (wouldn't have noticed if I didn't know it was happening), a slight coolness as the anesthetic, then next thing I was coming round. Not over comfortable, a ache in the stomach which slowly dissipated and a slight soreness at the wound.

Everyone is different so I cannot predict. The main thing is to be as fit as you can before the op, have really light food - no junk food for a day or two before and plenty of liquids. Take care after the op as you may feel stronger than you are - allow yourself several weeks before you start lifting anything slightly heavy.

I hope yours is as straight forward as mine. I only had to see my doctor for a fit note as my work wouldnt believe I was well enough!
