I have the same problem! but have had a low back injury which has caused this to happen as I have a damaged Nerve in my lower spine. Left leg is weak from an industrial injury Fall down wet stairs at work at the age of 26. and prior to that from the age of 22 post UNPROTECTED heavy lifting as a young Nurse. Now have the signs of CRPS 2 Not diagnosed as he says its not recognized???? I recognise it very well is extremely painful, and debilitating. Symptom is swelling Discoloration and searing pain, burning heat during an episode.

Hi David, apparently i have CRPS but mine started after a bad pneumonia (apparently my brain never got back to the normal), following the pneumonia i started to have pain in my fingers and wrist (probably due to my job) but when i went to the GP 3 years ago they never wanted to believe me, i told them that my fingers were en fire,... then it went to my ankle, today after 3 years,  my feet but mostly my right foot is burning so much that i can't wear socks, my toes are very aching but gosh my shoulder joints are the worse. the pain wakes me up every morning so i simply put some heat spray and start ironing; and the pain is manageble while working. Only in june this year when some days i could't drive that i started to take pictures of my swollen fingers and bruises then they referred me to a rhumatologist as they thought i had seronegative arthritis. When i saw the rhuma at first she confirmed osteoarthritis in my fingers and did lots of test. EVERY single test came back normal and she couldnt' believe that my xray of hands were ok (as she saw the pictures), so last thursday they have diagnosed me with chronic pain and handed me a leaflet (yes a simple leaflet) about CRPS. she simply explained that my brain need a reboot. i am referred back to my GP to get referred to other specialist. I have some good days but it seems that the burning is getting more and more intense. i am new to this and don't really know if the rhuma is right.

    Good luck tho x
