I been sick for 3 years what should I do?

It all started October 2017. I went to the emergency room because of constipation. Ok. Nothing happened really they gave me a suppository and sent me on my way. After that my bowel would change from being constipated to diarrhea. Before this normally I had a bowel maybe 2 or 3 times a week. I ended up loosing 35 pounds. Going from 187 to 153 in a period of 3 months. That was 2 years ago I lost the weight. I currently am 159. I have to go to the bathroom now 3-5 times a day and they are all loose stools. I haven't had a solid poop in idk how long. I also rarely have an appetite and I feel full. As to before I used to eat a lot now I get nauseated with the thought of food. Im nauseous everyday now for 3 years. I have these symptoms : Bowel change, nauseous, loss of appetite ,weight loss, hot flashes, rashes that come and go, chest pain, back pain, itchy armpits, irritability, fatigue, stomach aches, and headaches. All the test they have done and still haven't found anything. So one doctor is treating me as I have irritable bowel syndrome but I feel different. I just want to go back to my normal lifestyle. My left breast also hurts but that is of recently and I have not told my doctors because I feel they would dismiss it like everything else. Any suggestions on what I should do for help? I'm tired of being sick everyday.

hi quese, i have read your post and can see gastritis in my mind!do you find you get bile, burning, acid taste etc. it could be chron's or something like that? have you asked for any tests? if not ask and get them to check bloods, vitamin d, minerals etc. so hard when you're constantly sick!

All of my blood test were normal. I also had an ultrasound on my upper GI. That was also normal. My vitamin D was low they put me on 50,000 units. I still feel the same. I too thought it was gastritis.

ah what you've said makes sense. for gastritis try taking gaviscon then it won't be as hard to manage! be careful of spice, fizzy drinks, caffeine and ask to see a dietitian, they will help you!

Quese, have you thought of trying an elimination diet? There may be one type of food that is irritating your bowel or several foods. The 2 most likely culprits are Gluten/wheat or dairy products ie milk, yoghurt, cheese, etc etc.

Try not to eat any wheat or food containing wheat for 2 weeks and see if that makes a difference. If no difference then put wheat back in your diet and cut out all dairy products and food containing dairy. There are common foods that are well known irritants and allergens. You just have to persevere and find the one that is affecting you.You could also try cutting out eggs or fish or nuts or soy products or high fat foods or high sugar foods. Just concentrate on one food item per 2 weeks. Its not easy but its worth it when you know what is causing it.
