I began having problems when I was 54, vaginal dryness and infections one after another. Itching and burning and discharge and then uti's.

Finally, a doctor mentioned atrophic vaginitis and recommended I used premarin cream vaginally at bedtime , this has helped as far as the infections but I am still very dry. I really wish there was something to help that:shock:

I'm 49 and I have been having the same problems - minus the infections. From the dryness and itching - I have a tendency to scratch and then more problems. Do you know of any topical cream I could use to help it heal and that doesn't burn when applie?

I know some people who have commented have not found Replens cream helpful, but it has stopped the itching for me, and worth a go.

Hi, I've been having problems like this for years and have attended gynaecologists and urinary specialists. HRT tablets never suited me and only caused more problems. However dryness was my main type of problem. Between both types of consultants, I have tried replens, vagifem and orthogynest cream, the latter being the best, but I believe it can only be used short term so now I am using a mix of both the last two mentioned. Why don't you have a word with your gynaecologist or doctor about these products. Good Luck.
