I broke my ankle 4yrs ago, I have a metal plat and a couple of screws. I am having pain, you?

its been 4 years since my surgery. i have a metal plate and a couple of screws.

It gets painful if I've been on my feet too long.

Usually i put my foot up, maybe add a cold compress and I'm ready to go again.

But in the last week or so i can barely walk- it feels like a sharp nerve pain or even an extra tight tendon.

ive put cold on it- and it helps a bit, but an hour or two later I'm in major pain again.

any advice?

it hasn't been this painful since the surgery itself...

    Today is one month since my surgery so I don't have any answers. Have you contacted your surgeon to make sure everything is still okay? Being in pain not fun. I hope you get some relief.
