I can hear my heart in my head!

I suffer from health anxiety(or I could be dying-who knows?!) and get the 'usual' symptoms of fast heart, palpitations, tight, achy chest, etc etc... but today I can hear my heart whooshing in my head and I'm feeling a bit light headed-floaty.
Just been at a kids birthday party so was pretty anxious about that. I'm home now(just taken a beta blocker) and feeling slightly more calm but can still hear this whooshing heart beat. What's that about?!

I'm lying in bed, heart pounding, feeling like I could have a heart attack any second. Got an ecg booked for tomorrow afternoon and I'm terrified that it's going to show up something bad.
Feel like screaming! Hate feeling like this all the time. My life is just an existence and my 3 lovely kids need their mummy back

Thanks Lisa. It's gone 2am and I'm still awake. These heart palpitations are driving me crazy! Hope this nightmare ends soon

Horrible isnt it. I often have episodes of fast heart rate, which usually only last a short while, but am going through a bad patch the last week, where my heart seems to be racing continually, only short periods of normal. Like you I cant sleep.
I have had a 24hr holter test all ok, so I guess its just Anxiety Again.
I am sorry I have no answers, wish I did.deep breathing helps,as does I find, Passiflora drops, takes the edge off sometimes.
Guess what Iwanted to say is your not alone, I feel just like you, and really dont understand my own symptoms at the moment, as they are exagerated, without reason.
Hope this helps a little x

Hi,
I thought I msgd u but obviously not. There's a blood vessel that passes by your ear and that's the noise. It's the pulse of ur heart. I used to get it wen I was in bed as a kid. It was quite annoying but totally harmless.
