I can see my heartbeat 24/7?

Hi all, firstly, I've never officially been diagnosed with anxiety but all my life I've had then symptoms and have a lot of anxiety related issues.

But basically, I'm a 20 year old female and I can see my heartbeat in both my stomach and my left breast constantly. I get really worried about it and can't tell if this is supposed to me normal or not. I first noticed this when I was 17 so it's nearly three years that I've been aware of it. I don't know if this was there before but in sure I would have noticed this. I've had people tell me that it's likely connected to anxiety, which, yes it is far more noticeable when I am anxious or do exercise, etc. but the thing is I can see it moving my left breast and stomach slightly 24/7. I am going to see a doctor and will make an appointment, even though I get extremely anxious about medical settings especially heart ones, I just need peace of mind. But while I wait to see a doctor, I want to know if anyone else experienced this?

Thanks

It's fairly common for a person to see the heart pulsating in the chest area. Sometimes when you can see that it makes you more anxious which increases the speed of your heart,  then you become more anxious. The odds are very likely that you are completely healthy just go visit your doctor and they can do an ECG just to doublecheck.

there is a major artery that runs were you say you see your heartbeat in your stomach area. That is why it's noticeable to you, because of the artery pumping.Just relax,  go to your appointment and you will get much relief when everything comes out normal. One bit of advice is try not to self diagnose on the Internet it only scares people and makes anxiety worse than it needs to be.  One good thing is that if you can see your heartbeat in your chest, then you probably have very little fat around your heart and that is a great thing! Everything will be OK!

Remember, the heartbeat is the same as your pulse. As your heart beats, so do these pulses. You have pulses all over your body including your feet, your stomach, your legs, your chest, your neck, your wrists.  I have seen several of my pulses or heart beat pumping. Let's be glad they are working!

Thank you so much for your response! Some days I'm fine and other days the crazy hypochondriac that I am becomes so worried and you're right, once I see it, it does make it worse, but I'll book an appointment even if it's just to put my mind at rest. Thanks again!
