I can't feel anything when I get injections on my upper leg

My doctor perscribed me B12 and I started to get IM injections. I've never got injections on my thigh before. I can't feel it.

I was a nurse I kinda know how this things work. I got my first injections at hospital, I didn't feel then but I just thought it was because the nurse was very good at it. Then I had to do it myself.

I was very nervous as everyone says legs hurt badly during IM injections. I put the needle slowly, which you shouldn't do, couldn't feel it, at all. And then I tried to look if I'm in a vein, I couldn't, the needle moved a lot, which again shouldn't happen because it'd hurt. Even with this very bad injection experience I felt absolutely nothing as if the leg is not mine. Should I be concerned? I mean, this is very weird for me.

I know some individuals who prefer getting IM injection in the leg and they feel comfortable but they do not inject themselves.
