I can't go through this again!!

Help me please!! I had my third marsupialisation of a bartholin abscess which just keeps coming back. I had it 1 year ago then again 6 months later and now 5 days ago. Each time they have been so large (always bigger than a golf ball) that I have had to have the operation to drain it. Each time I have had no problems with the recovery however on this occasion I think the cyst has started filling up again just five days later. It now doesn't feel any smaller than when I went in for the operation. Also I think my stitches may be infected even though I have taken extreme care with cleanliness and my antibiotics. Can a cyst fill up again that quickly? Are there any permanent solutions for this problem? I am terrified of needles and every time this happens it is such an ordeal. Can they take the gland away and if so what implications would that have downstairs?! HELP! sad

    HI dear,

I am sorry that you have to experience this kind of nightmare, i also had bartholyn cyst few months ago, i have been dealing with this cyst almost 3 years. But thank god, I got a solution, i used Apple cider vinegar, I placed it on the affected area and leave it overnight, and did the same again, I was really surprise that my bartholyn burst and it did not come back. You may try doing the same method I did. It might work to you.

    Godbless

I understand your pain. I had my left BG issues for almost 4 yrs. It would turn abscess and I would have it lanced to drain. My dr didn't like doing it due to making scar tissue. I got to the point that I would just ask for antibiotics and suffer a week (I do mean a week of pain) or so and it would finally break and drain on its own. Just this last time it was only 3 months apart and I went to dr in tears. He FINALLY agreed to remove the whole gland. He isn't a fan of the marsup method saying its not very successful. I had it done 2 months ago. I'm glad it's done and to know I wont have the abscess issues again but it is a rough recovery for about 4 weeks unless you have an easy case. Mine was not and it was very large with lots of digging in muscle. BUT on the otherside of 2 months, I can tell I'm healing, dr us happy with results and no more infected "nut" down there!!! Good luck!
