I can't go toilet without removing my clothes

Hello everyone !

I am a 24 years old man .

I am new here and would like to share my "funny" experience I have been having these couple months .

When I ever I need to go to toilet (both number 1&2) , I must get rid of my pants . I don't remove my top only my bottom clothes. Now I can not go without removing my clothes and even if I tried and it happened , I must put my pants immediately into the laundry! I think they are filthy of poo and urine even though it's 99.9% nothing touched them.

I have been diognised with a heavy OCD since about 2 years , and I have tried SSRI but they gave me serotinin syndrome ( loose of conciousness) and they made my urinary incontience (I have it also since about 2 and healf years) much worse.

I am not very bothered about it actually , and whenever my familly sees me going to toilet bottomless they laugh at it and I do too smile.

The only problem is that I can not and would never use public restrooms since it is not appropriate to remove my pants at restaurants, univestiy etc. Also whenever I vist a relative or a friend I make sure that I time my visit so I won't have to go to toilet at their place and wait until I come back home..

I know what I am doing is not normal but I can not control my OCD it is killing me and it affects my daily life .

The question is : is there any tips for me or have anyone else experienced the same problem?.

I personally don't know anyone else who does that whether they have OCD or not . And would certainly never ask anyone about it lol.

are you under a psychiatrist? what do they say about it? if you have urinary incntinence how do you manage to not go to the toilet when you're out? do you think your incontinence is psychological? the idea that you believe it to be covered in urine or faeces when youre out is probably linked to your incontinence, perhsps youve had accidents in the past and you subconsciously are thinking about this. it must enroach on your daily life timing things as to not go to the toilet. have you tried not wearing underwear how would that feel to you?

      Thank you for commenting!

Well I am not currently but I tried and he descriped me a medication that made me feel unconscious as I said , so I immediatly stopped thinking about going to another one. I have heard of behaviour therapy but I think my OCD is just overwhelming me and my whole life which is very upsetting. My type of incontience is not urge incontinence but "overflow incontience" which means whenever I finish urinating after I put my underwear on I leak a very small amount on it . Thats why I always see a little yellow stain on my underwear whenever I tend to wash it . And of course that's why I would not never dare to not put underwear I will be 100% dirty with pee .

And yes it really does enroach my life and it makes me suffer .

For example , I have English Literatrue bachelor's degree and I can teach English private lessons , and I also can teach at institute or school(only if it was near my home) as long I dont stay there more than 2 hours and can have a break to go back to my own toilet at home (I can't stand public toilet).

You need to ask your GP for treatment and see if you can be given some CBT so they can give you coping techniques and help you with this unusual behaviour

      Thank you BOB

I have been thinking about it recently even though I feel very Pessimistic. The thing is that the only psychatrist I went to behaved like a merchant by just giving me a prescription for some kind of SSRI , but I forget its name since I have disposed it immediately after that frightful experience . I will consider going to another one for the CBT thingy.

Perhaps you can carry extra underwear with you or wear disposable underwear or wear a condom or a condom urine retention device
