I can't put any weight on my "bad" leg after sitting or lying down

It's 8 weeks since my op and I'm walking  a lot more but am alarmed at not being able to stand firm on my leg for a few minutes after sitting or lying -plus pain at the front of my thigh. I'm not sure whether I'm doing too little or too much or whether there are particular exercises needed to stretch and strengthen the muscles in this area. Or is it just a matter of time?

I had the exact same problem, no pain while sitting but once I stand up, pretty bad pain at the very very tippy top of my theigh, right where that crease is between your torson and your leg. I researched it and suspected tendonitis of the iliosoas. Since I had suffered terrible from tendonitis in both legs for 3 years I knew what I had to do, REST the muscle (tendon). Pushing that muscle was the wrong thing to do. My physical therapist confirmed it was the iliosoas, and he advised me the same thing don't do any exercizes to push the muscle, let it heal. He said if it hurts to stop it. That is what I did and I am much much much better. If it would have continued I would have seen my doctor for a shot in it.

It is still sensetive but nowhere near what it was. You can Google "Tendonitis of the iliosoas after toal hip replacement".

The pain was not generalized at all, my quads are in good shape, it was a very specific location and actually pretty small pinn point pain. Having suffered tendonitis before I recognized that pain of tendonitis.
