I can't stop sleeping.

Wondering if anyone can help?  I seem to have developed an issue with my sleeping where I can't get up in the morning and if I do I end up falling asleep and then waking up again in the late afternoon.  I used to be able to get up early in the morning and have the energy to stand up all day and get on with any jobs that had to be done, but now I don't seem to have the energy that I had before.  I don't see myself that old at the age of 28.  I don't have any medical conditions that I know of but I do get the odd aches and pains on my body but I can only put that down to when I do exercise, usually the next day after I feel more tired than the day before.  My diet is usually quite healthy.  I drink and eat in moderation but lately have had cravings for junk foods such as pot noodles and pasta snacks and I am not eating fruit like I used to as snacks during the day, only at night.  My appetite has gone off healthy dinners such as casseroles, pastas etc etc...  My weight hasn't really changed it can go up and down slightly but nothing to worry about.  Maybe I am being concerned about nothing but I don't seem to have the energy that I had a few years ago...

    Dear Orange,

Although you hint that you think you are healthy enuogh but that your diet has changed a bit from healthy to less healthy diet, you make no reference to your weight. Is that stable? Are you doing 10,000 steps a day?

Sounds to me like the quality of your sleep might be the problem. Ask your gp if it can be checked out. Sweet dreams.

PS: If you don't recall your dreams, that could be a pointer to poor sleep quality

I am 5ft 7 and weigh about 11stone. I do exercise but probably not as much as I should. I think If I lost a stone in weight I would probably feel a bit better???

Before asking why, why don't you let your body do what it wants. To find out if it really just wants sleep. If you have a week or 2 of vacations, do what your body wants and see where you end up. Probably for different reasons but I ended up in bed from midnight to noon. No answer for the why, but at least I am not fighting my body pointlessly ..... I did that for years.
