I cut my finger, it won't fully bend

So, I've cut my finger (not in a place where joints are, hopefully, but between them). The cut was deep, I went to the hospital, and a surgeon sewed the cut up.

I am able to bend my finger, all of its joints, however I am not able to bend it fully. I don't know whether it is caused by the fact, that the incident was two days ago, and I always have a bandage on my finger, or if I damaged my tendon.

I am seeing surgeon in a few days, to have stitches removed, I am just terribly afraid that the damage to my finger is permanent.
