I cut my toe open 6 weeks ago, and still it's a problem..

So 6 weeks ago I cut the underside of my little toe open, I didn't know it had happened at first as I have nerve damage. It wouldn't stop bleeding after 5 hours so needed to go to A&E they clamped a glued it and sent me on my way. Well now the cut seems to be getting worse! I don't even know how it's possible but it's now deeper (I can see my bone) and it's longer around it seems to be spreading around my toe it's not infected.. What on earth should I do? I can see it coming off in not too long, any advice please?

Jessie it shouldnt be getting deeper and spreading after 6 weeks, id get back up to A&E or go to your own doctors like tomorrow, maybe it really did need stitching, dont wait till you do get an infection.

Goodness Jessie, why are you posting on here?  You should be in A&E.

You posted 18 hours ago, I hope you have now seen a Doctor and your toe has been dealt with.

Do let us know how you get on, good luck.

I'm posting here because last time I was at A&E for it they didn't want to know.. I haven't seen a doctor I have an appointment Friday but I'm scared I'll lose my toe before then..

Hi Jessie, is your appt with your GP?  Can't you get an urgent appt?  Maybe with the Practice Nurse, you could see her and then see your GP too if necessary.  Have you told them that you can see bone?

In the meantime, keep your foot clean, don't poke it and keep it covered.

Good luck Jessie and try not to worry but do try to see someone earlier than Friday.

No it's with a practise nurse - it's all I can get, sorry for to much info but my toe is like almost hanging! The bone is still there but all the skin is like sliding up too come off! The hospital won't help me, I'm going to lose my toe and there's no one seems to be helping sad

I don't understand why the hospital won't help you if it is as bad as you say.

When did you last go to A&E?
