It would be nice to chat about Crohn’s. The medication. Also what worked, what was bad when going onto immunos. What steroid felt right etc. Be happy for any feed back. Mine as hit hard and I’m 34. All advice is invaluable. As it may not be my course now. But maybe one day will be. Much appreciated. #scarysh*tcameonquick

How you doing Darroll
Good to hear from you, I'm 35 and got diagnosed with Crohns two years ago but have been having issues since 30 and suffered my last flare up in August 2017
Typical bloke really, probably looking back partied too hard, late night and not looking after the body and always really put my issues down to that - The blood loss became more and more frequent and my symptoms slowly took over my life, had a number of endoscopies and colonoscopies and various short term drugs until I was diagnosed 3 years later.
When diagnosed I did feel a sense of relief as is was comforting to know what I was suffering with and I could get my head round on how I was going to deal with it - People talk about triggers and mine was definitely stress and coincided with having a baby - I was on and off steroids which are good short term but not long, I put on azathioprine after a number of tests and shortly after starting this treatment starting showing signs of pancreatitis.
The next treatment was Humira in 2017 - very heavy duty and sent me into a deep dark world of anxiety, depression, very low mood - Decided to come off this in January and the results were amazing two weeks later felt the best I have felt for a long long time and in March I went to see my consultant who told me the Crohns is in remission and to come up all treatments immediately.
The thing I found hardest was my wife and family not being able to relate to what I have got, don't put on a brave face be honest and open with your family - I found this forum last month and would have been good to have used it in my darkest hour
hope this helps, stay strong and positive!
