I Don't Feel Right & I'm A Little Worried

Hello,

I've been taking venlaflaxine for just over 6 weeks & i'm not feeling right at all. I started on 37.5 twice a day, then GP upped to three times a day & four times a day this Tuesday(so 150mg daily). and for the past couple of days i just dont feel right at all. My heart feels like it's beating really hard & i feel as though it makes my body move & tremble/shake/flutter at the same time. It's very hard to describe, but it's constant & i'm very aware of it. So much so that the past to mornings it has made me get up very early as it's so intense & i feel very panicky. I don't know if it's because i have been getting myself in a bit of a state this past couple of weeks or if it's the tablets.

Please help as i am worried & i don't know if this is normal or not.

Thank you in advance

Butterfly

Also i should mention i do suffer very badly with anxiety so i know it's not an anxiety attack as it feels different to that.

    Hello Jackie,

    Thank you for you're reply.

Is it normal then? It's an awful feeling & i feel so so sick, but it's the heart rate & fluttering that is worrying me.

Hi. I was told tablets don't work for anxiety by the dr. My experience is xr 75 mg capsules. I was on this years back when it came out and went through the heart pounding which I dreaded. Dr. Said I was fine and hang on. I did and it ruined Xmas through it but it all cleared up and gave me a great quality of life going back to school and traveling. I will say tremors and your other symptoms aren't normal, 150mg is too high for me. I had those symptoms and went on 75mg and stayed there. Bet if you cut back you'll feel better. Our bodies are all different. Try that. Hope you have at ativan to take with this to get you through the adjustment. Keep in touch.

Hi. Good to hear. I take for panic and anxiety and it worked fine. But I'm switching to fetzima. Good luck

Hi. No they did not, felt strange. Fetzima is new and similar to this and cymbalta. Going on it this week. I've had enough of ER visits over trying cymbalta again and being accepted by my body this time. No one knows why. Effexor trying to go back on gave me shakes and tremors and I had to stop.

How did you feel on 75mg.? Less panic? This drug does do this in beginning that's why I stayed away from everyone and everywhere . But the worst was on 150 mg. So I stayed on 75mg. Check with your Dr. If you should maybe cut back. Since your symptoms got worse.

Why don't u ring the on call doc

Don't put yourself through anymore. Call your Dr. Office and get on call number and call him asap. That's what he's for. Obviously something isn't right. If you don't hear go to ER and they contact him, and also figure out the problem 😊good luck
