I don’t get traditionally sick since infection

has anybody experienced not getting traditionally sick? I’ve been suffering for about nine months and I have yet to get a cold have the sniffles or any chest congestion. Has anybody else experienced this? My theory is that our immune system is in overdrive fighting EBV. I am around sick people all day because my job and I still haven’t caught a thing.
One doctor said I should expect to get really sick because my immune system would be low but I have yet to experience this.
Thanks.

Yep I'm the same....I said the very same thing to a nurse I know the other day....I said I've either never been sick or I'm soo sick with EBV, a normal cold doesn't touch the sides....but her response was, I would know if I had a cold. I sometimes get a blocked up nose or a sore throat and think this is a start of a cold, but by the next day it's gone.

Dodge , Thats the same way it has been for me . I will get that odd feeling in the back of my throat and a plugged up nose and think great I'm getting sick on top of this horrible EBV crap and by the next day its gone .

Hi Bob,
My experience was that EBV was a very unique experience and it didn't involve me getting lots of colds or infections or things like that either, I just generally felt drained, fatigued and horrible due to the low grade fever and different aches and pains in glandular areas that this virus caused.
Everyone's experience with the virus is very unique to them, I've learned from the forums here that it can affect so many people in some many different ways, with a few common threads like the fatigue and longevity. But things do get better with time Bob, truly they do. It was about 10 months before I seen a real turning point and things starting to really move towards full recovery, with God's help only - so hang in there, there is hope and recovery from this thing!
Taking vitamins and herbs also helped my immune system very much during recovery - a good strong multi-vitamin per day (I take Immunace Extra here in the UK), higher doses of Vitamin C (1000mg-3000mg per day), a B100 complex vitamin per day (GREAT for nervous system and energy levels) and immune boosting herbs like siberian ginseng, echinacea and oregano. Of course I'm no expert in these things always check for any interactions with other conditions / medications when taking herbal supplements and vitamins.
Hang in there Bob, you will get through this and recovery fully - truly you will I believe that given my own recovery experience and reading the recovery experience of many others who struggled for a period of longevity then went on to make a full recovery.
