I don't know..

One morning I woke up to use the bathroom, and when I had (#2) I filled the toilet with blood.. Then afterwards I got this awful rash on my butthole so painful I couldn't sit down. And in addition to this, the bottom of my vagina, on the skin around it not in my vagina or on it, broke out in bumps that looked like acne... Does this sound like herpes? Dr didn't test me give me Acyclovor (if I spelled that right) and it all cleared up in just 2-3 days and I've not had a problem since.. Also, when is the soonest I can get tested?? 😥😥

    I'm on that med so most likely yes u have it but you can get tested anytime go to the er even ask for the Herpes IgG blood test.

    The best time to have tested for herpes is when you had the acne-like bumps. The swab test is always preferable to blood tests when it comes to herpes. Why your doctor didn't bother, yet prescribed you the meds is daft and a missed opportunity.

    The IgM antibody test for herpes is unreliable, so don't do it, while the IgG antibody test requires you to wait 3 months from infection for a conclusive result (recommended test window period).

    Having said all that, I'm not sure that what you described is necessarily herpes. You healed far too quickly for a first outbreak, even with meds, and you should not be experiencing such rectal bleeding (a bit of blood on the paper, perhaps, but not so much to turn the toilet bowl red!). You'd also expect the bumps on your vagina, not just around it. If it is herpes, the presentation is unusual.

      Herpes? I've got a pimple on my buttchee . noo itchiness no pain what so eve . Red kind of $ots spread ou . Nothing else anywhere else, is it herpes or am I just worrying too much?

    Thank you both! Really needed this! My doctor seemed unsure, but didn't bother to swab it or anything, he had the supply right at his reach also. I don't know what to d . How to find out, I've not had anything since. But I've had a kidney infection also, considering I've conjoined kidneys.. I had that at the time of the breakout and also I've got bag yeast infections come and go.
