I hooked with a girl last night and she gave me a blowjob and she hooked up with somebody the night before who supposedly has herpes. I didn't find this out until right after. What is the chance I will get herpes? I also washed my genetalia and brushed my teeth very well right after to

well I cant tell you statistics but I guess it depends if you found out she had them genitally or orally... I mean most people refer to oral herpes as 'coldsores' and if thats the case you have a chance of getting it (assuming the guy she was with had an outbreak or viral shedding- no symptoms but virus is contagious)

But the guy might not have had an outbreak or viral shedding and therefore you might be lucky. That is also assuming she didnt have a coldsore outbreak herself that she wasnt aware of because then you could also get hsv1 genitally.

    1. Did she give the night before a blow job? I guess you might not be able to ask but if yes; he may or may not have had an outbreak or viral shedding (no symptoms but virus is contagious).

Assuming he did have an outbreak, give it to her mouth and then to you, yes there is a possibility you caught it.

Also with going down, people have to be cautious about 'coldsores' which is virtually the same virus as what pople know as 'herpes'. They are refered to as HSV. HSV1 usually occurs on the mouth, and what people refer to as coldsores.

HSV2 most commonly occurs genitally, and what people refer to as herpes.

BOTH virus' can be contracted orally and genitally.

I have HSV1 genitally and caught it from someone going down on me with no obvious symptoms of an outbreak as far as I knew) So even if the guy didnt give it to her, there is always a chance (small but possible) to contract genital herpes from the wondrous blow job.

You are a guy which means the chances of you contracting it are smaller than females, however that doesnt rule you out completely obviously. You did the right thing by cleaning straight away which could have helped but not necessarily.

If you have caught it, it will probably show up in 1-3 weeks and you might get sick and glands will be up trying to fight off this new virus. However most people have herpes and never show symptoms so most people have it without realising.

Best to go to the doctors in a couple weeks and get tested.
