A have noticed that I have lost a large amount of weight in a very short amount of time. I lost around 10 pounds in 3 and a half weeks. I was 164 pounds know I am 154 pound and I do not know why. I did not change my diet at all, and I do not exercise. I have had some appetite loss but that seems to be bouncing back. I also been experiencing gas and cramps along with itchy eyes and exesive sweating in the palms. I do not know if these symptoms are helpful but I am looking for answers. Please help, would love to hear back from anybody. sad

Hi Boris, have you had your thyroid levels tested? Your symptoms are indicative of an over-active thyroid. The sweating, the itchy eyes, weight loss and gastric problems are all symptoms. Google Graves disease also. Just a thought.

I am getting bloodworm tomorrow. But I do not have the bulging eyes associated with Graves' disease. Are bulging eyes always present when one has Graves' disease?

OK I was just wondering. I will see tomorrow when I get my blood test.

Have you ever found out what was causing your weight loss?  I lost 7 pounds in 1 week so far, and am very confused about the cause.  I have not changed my diet nor anything for that matter.  I am 5'6 and used to weight 123 pounds for years, now all the sudden I went down to 116 pounds.  I look awful, like a skeleton.  I'm drinking protein drinks and ensure drinks to stop the weight loss, but it's not working..  I'm getting very worried.
