Today I woke up and I felt this odd pain in my thigh. At first, it was like a muscle pull or something and I thought it would be fine. Later today... I stood up from one of my classes and my eyes watered just standing.... I thought I could walk it out but then my leg went out of control! I couldn't control it, it would just bend if it wants to.... then I was walking down the stairs and I couldn't I physically couldn't. I was also trying to lift up my leg in the air straight and It would hurt so much when it's in the air I couldn't even do that! Please I need help... what is this?

I am not sure what is going on for you, but it sounds awfully painful and frightening.   Have you been taking AA or any other bisphosphonate?  I'm wondering if it is bone pain from the intensity of if.  I hope you can get it checked out and treated asap.

I haven't been taken anything at all. Although I was engaged in a few physical activities like a fight dance and hiking but I doubt that it can be from that since I have been doing it for weeks now...

How are you doing?  Any further along with a potential diagnosis?

No idea Sophie - but whatever it is it is probably not PMR or GCA, the illness this particular forum is for.

You need to see your doctor.

Do you already have a diagnosis of PMR/GCA?  And if you do, what dose of steroid are you on right now?

This is a forum for those with PMR or GCA, if you think you have a bone problem then a different forum is what you need.
