I don't know what's wrong with me. Help?

Okay. So, I've been feeling off for a while now. I genuinely detest going to the Doctors without having some idea of my complications.

I am a 22 year old, caucasian female. I'm not taking any meds or drugs of any kind. I'm not sure that it's relevant, but I do have anxiety. Being that it manifests primarily in fidgeting, I don't see any cause for medication.

Here's what I've got:

I'm constantly exhausted, but I barely sleep. When I wake, I'm just as tired as before falling asleep. My body feels week and drained. My joints ache. I can't seem to focus for more than a few minutes; I've put my phone down whilst typing this twice already. Bright lights offend me and make my eyeballs want to swim in my head. I've been ridiculously clumsy lately, eg. Unable to maintain grasp of objects, walking like I'm drunk for no earned reason and stumbling. I feel like my head is shrouded in perpetual fog. I've got a tightening lump in my throat that nothing seems to be aiding. I have a strange desire to smoke mass quantities of cigarettes like I have no self control. I'm depressed. My moods are flying around like my mother on a broomstick. I feel like I'm itching from the inside of my skin out.

If you've got any ideas that exceed in relevance my own, that I'm just falling apart, please, please give me something to work with.

Thank you in advance for your time.

What is your diet like? Are you vit D defficient, are you getting enough iron, vit B12 etc for example?

You seem to be sleep deprived.  Here are some recommendations:  Eliminate all sources of caffeine in your diet. Examine your bedroom environment for distractions that are keeping you awake. Move all offenders out. Keep your phone and other electronics out of your bedroom.  Do you snore in your sleep?  Sleep apnea may be interfering.  Go to a place that specilaizes in sleep disorders to be diagnosed.  Take a woman's multi vitamin every day. Eat high quality well-balanced food regularly; don't skip meals.  Eliminate sugars and simple carbs from your diet, also eliminate gluten from your diet for a period of time to see if that may be interfering.  If none of this works, go to a doctor.  Be sure to tell him what you've done on your own.

pinoyboy has given you some good advice especially about keeping all distractions away from your bedroom.   You say you have anxiety, but then you say you are depressed. Can you pinpont what you are unhappy about?

My overall impression is that you should go to your GP.   You need to talk to someone who is totally impartial and wont judge you. You may need some counselling that will help you to take control of your worries.      You are not the first to feel like this so your doctor will be sympathetic.

    Epstein barr virus?

Epstein Barr virus highly unlikely.    None of those symptoms would indicate EP.

After the acute stage passe there are instances, many that the virus lingers on. Not active as mono. But a lot of fatigue and kind of like your ill but your not feeling. Not unheard of and there are many articles and publications which would further explain it. Clearly standard anxiety attacks are involved here but in regards to the other symptoms and age. I have seen it so its not some random guess, but it is a guess. I was going to also add to check iron levels.

Maybe lupus? Lupus symptoms can include: fatigue, joint pain,

mood swings/ depression, malar ( butterfly) rash, skin issues,

brain fog and sensitivity to light( photophobia.) Still ,though, highly

unlikely. This is not a substitute for medical advice. Always consult

with your doctor. I am not even a doctor, so don't take my advice,

    just ask your doctor.
