Hi Tiny.Sounds like you've been through a lot.I know it's hard, but try & stay strong.I'm going through a really bad patch at the moment. The constant racing thoughts & physical tension are truly hateful.I wish you well.Never stop believing.

You have to find some strong medication to releive your anxiety because therapy is  painstakingly slow process and anxiety is intolerable.  Anxiety is a living death.  You need a combination of anti depressants and benzodiazapines.  Then you can start he therapy aspect of this and see what you can accomplish.

Hi Tiny. Anxiety cannot possibly kill you. It is your own bodys' defence system kicking off. There is nothing about anxiety that can cause you any harm. Anxiety is not dangerous. It just FEELS horrible. It isn't horrible, it is trying to protect you (mistakenly). It feels very uncomfortable in our bodys and minds but anxiety isnt dangerous in any way and it cannot harm you in any way. It feels like you are going to die, but you wont. It feels like you are going mad, but you wont. It is just anxiety. Many thousands of people are suffering exactly the same way as you and none of them have died or gone crazy. Advice is to see you doctor and get some meds for it. Advice is to find a good anxiety specialist therapist to help you with it. Advice is to exercise and eat well. Dont use alcohol or recreational drugs, they will make it worse. Massage and reflexology can help for some people. Meditation can help for some people. Talk to someone about it. Get some help and support. The reason we get worse is because we become anxious about being anxious. Anxiety often goes with depression so it may be that you are also suffering from depression, to which all of the above also applies. There is help out there. Go and find it. Also read and write posts on this forum. You will soon realise that you are definately not alone in this. You will be OK.

I defo know what your going through my love I had it and thought I was going out of my mind . Pacing the rooms couldn't cope was on my own all day . I found out I had breast cancer grade 3 the worst !! But my husband couldn't cope and as he works away 4 a living he just berried his head and ran away to work to deal with it myself I even had to come home from surgery on my own as he had to work !!! But I was prescribed anti depressants & something 4 the panic attacks . And as everyone is saying it is a long road but there is light at the end of the tunnel . I'm just getting ready to recive my chemo soon and that's scaring me Beyond Anything but I feel more in control as I'm taking my medication . And it defo helps just take every day at a time and do what makes u feel a little better but when the attack happens don't fight it breath deep and try & stay calm take a bath anything but don't fight it . All my heart goes out to u . I know just what your going through ( but your not on your own ) x

Athol gave you some great advice but I also agree with Jim.  When you see your Doctor just don't walk away with a script for antidepressants, make sure you get a script for a benzo, like valium or xanax, you can take until the antidepressants start working which can takes weeks.  The benzo will just give your body a break from the anxiety.  Once these kick in, you can start addressing what's causing the anxiety in the first place which is almost impossible to do if your heart is racing and you are pacing around the house in the middle of the night in a sleep deprived stupor.  And just remember, you are not alone.  Take care.
