I started experiencing this yesterday and won't stop, everytime I turn my head I experience vertigo.

Whats can I do to stop and prevent this? Up till now I just prevent moving my head unnecessarily.

I tried epley's manuever and vomited during the process.

You need to see either a ENT or Neurologist to see what's going on.  I'm battling this too so I feel your pain.    I hope you feel better soon.

Sounds like BPPV, positional vertigo.  You need to see someone experienced in performing the Epley manuever versus attempting to dislodge the crystals yourself.  You can actually make it worse if it is done incorrectly.  Should be a simple fix if administered by someone with experience in the manuever.

Therapist who experienced with performing Epley maneuver can help.

I concur with the other posters. It sounds like BPPV. I've had this three times now, affecting both ears at different times. If at all possible, your best option is to get your GP/PCP to refer you to a specialist physiotherapist, who will do the test to make sure it is BPPV and then do the Epley manoeuvre. This normally produces immediate results.

An ENT doctor may be able to help, but the majority of posters on these boards (including me) have had less-than-satisfactory experiences with ENTs!

You shouldn't attempt the Epley yourself, unless you've been taught it under supervision of a physiotherapist, as this can make things much worse. There's something else called the half-somersault manoeuvre that you can find on-line. Unlike a badly performed Epley, this won't make things worse so is safe to try at home. However, I have to say I tried it several times during a particularly bad bout of BPPV I had at the beginning of this year, without success. I can't say it really made things worse, but it did make me feel sick for a couple of minutes afterwards. I gave up after the fourth attempt and got myself referred to a physiotherapist, who fixed the problem in a single session.
